Business Analyst (Contract)

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Business Analyst to join a dynamic technology environment and deliver high-quality business analysis services across multiple, concurrent software application development initiatives. The role has a strong focus on innovation, digital transformation and system modernisation, serving as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead business analysis across

multiple concurrent projects.

• Elicit, analyse, and document

business and system requirements.

• Produce high-quality

documentation including Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications, User Stories and Process Maps.

• Facilitate stakeholder

workshops and engagement sessions.

• Translate business requirements

into functional specifications for development teams.

• Support SDLC phases including

design, development, testing and UAT.

• Support the UAT process by

providing guidance and clarifying requirement ambiguities.

• ·Maintain requirements

traceability.

• Conduct gap analysis and

process improvement activities.

• Analyse and map current and

future-state business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.

• Facilitate process redesign and

optimisation initiatives aligned with business objectives and technology solutions.

• Define process measures,

controls, and performance indicators to support continuous improvement.

Key Deliverables:

• Business and functional

requirements documentation.

• Process maps and workflow

diagrams.

• Stakeholder engagement outputs.

• Traceability matrices and UAT

support artefacts.

Governance, Risk & Compliance:

• Ensure all processes align with

organisational governance, compliance, and audit standards.

• Maintain audit-ready

documentation for process changes and digital initiatives.

• Support internal and external

audits by providing process evidence, metrics, and controls.

• Embed quality, risk management,

and controls into process design.

Requirements

• Relevant Degree / Diploma in

IT, Business Analysis, Information Systems; OR Matric with 10 years’ experience and a recognised Business Analysis certification (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA).

• Minimum 10 years’ relevant

Business Analysis experience within Software Application Development environments.

• Process Engineering background

and experience would be beneficial and preferred.

• Proven experience working on

multiple projects simultaneously.
