Position Overview
Function: Enterprise Transformation & Technology, Global Business Applications | Reports to: Director, Global Business Applications, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP, Enterprise Transformation & Technology | Role type: Individual contributor (platform product) | Location: UK
This is an internal-facing platform product role, owning the roadmap, priority and business value for the GTM applications and quote-to-cash estate. This role does not line-manage the developers, administrators and integration engineers who build on these platforms; that delivery organisation sits within Business Applications under a separate leader. The role owns the why and the what, and influences the how and the when through evidence, relationships and a clearly reasoned roadmap. We are hiring for someone who operates independently, sets their own standards, and raises the maturity of how the enterprise uses its core platforms. This is not a backlog-administration role.
The purpose of the role is to own the product strategy, roadmap and optimisation of the platforms that power the demand-generation and quote-to-cash lifecycle. This role is the single product owner for this estate, accountable for its roadmap and outcomes, working within the ownership boundaries set out below.
A central expectation of the role is to move the estate toward an AI-native, end-to-end platform: a connected demand-to-cash flow with data and workflow joined across the tools and AI embedded in the process rather than bolted on as isolated features. This includes driving AI-native ways of working within the GTM applications estate and designing toward that end-to-end platform in coordination with the Customer Experience Applications product manager, the finance and ERP teams, and the AI Enablement function.
The experience of the internal users of these platforms — the sales, marketing and revenue-operations teams who work in them daily — is a primary measure of success. This role is accountable for adoption, ease of use and the removal of friction that drives people toward workarounds and away from the sanctioned tools.
Platforms and Scope Owned
- Salesforce (CRM) and connected GTM applications
- Marketo (marketing automation and demand generation)
- Apollo (prospecting and sales data)
- Gong (conversation and revenue intelligence)
- NetSuite Core (billing, payments and downstream integrations)
- Zone (subscription billing and revenue recognition), called out separately given its prevalence in the SaaS market
Primary Responsibilities
- Own and maintain a prioritised, outcome-based roadmap across the GTM applications estate, tied to measurable business results (pipeline velocity, conversion, sales productivity, order-to-cash cycle time, billing accuracy).
- Run structured discovery with revenue, marketing, sales operations and finance stakeholders; translate ambiguous business demand into clearly framed problems and prioritised solutions.
- Own the quote-to-cash system roadmap end to end, with particular accountability for the order-to-invoice handoff between the front office and finance systems, where most cross-system friction and re-keying occurs.
- Drive the adoption of AI-native capability across the GTM estate and design toward a connected, end-to-end demand-to-cash platform rather than a set of disconnected point tools, in coordination with the AI Enablement and data functions.
- Own the internal user experience and adoption of the platforms in scope: measure how effectively the revenue teams use the tools, remove friction, and treat low adoption or shadow workarounds as product problems to solve rather than user error.
- Own the value case for each significant investment, including expected outcome, effort and trade-off, and defend prioritisation decisions to senior business and finance sponsors.
- Partner with the delivery organisation to sequence and deliver work, holding the line on discovery rigour, documentation and definition of done without owning the engineers directly.
- Contribute significantly to vendor selection, negotiations and renewals, and lead experimentation and adoption of new features across the estate. Vendor negotiations and contract renewals are led by the VP and the Director, Global Business Applications, with the commercial and contractual process run by procurement.
- Establish and maintain product documentation, decision logs and configuration rationale for the estate, including the billing integration and NetSuite touchpoints, reducing single-person knowledge concentration.
- Define and report the metrics that show whether the platform investment is delivering business value.
Key Skills and Competencies
- Strong stakeholder management at senior level, including finance, and the ability to say no with a reasoned case.
- Experience partnering with engineering and delivery teams not directly managed.
- The independence and maturity to run a value stream with minimal direction.
- Strategic product thinking: outcome-based roadmapping and measurable value cases.
- Ability to drive AI-enabled or AI-native ways of working and design end-to-end journeys rather than single applications.
- Data- and feedback-driven approach to improving platform adoption and internal user experience.
- Strong discovery skills, translating ambiguous business demand into clearly framed problems and prioritised solutions.
- Cross-functional coordination across revenue, marketing, sales operations, finance and AI Enablement to resolve competing demands.
Preferred Experience and/or Qualifications
Essential:
- Demonstrable product management of enterprise CRM (Salesforce strongly preferred).
- SaaS product experience, ideally in a subscription or recurring-revenue business. This is weighted heavily for this role.
- Working knowledge of quote-to-cash and the seam between front-office selling and finance systems (billing, AR, revenue recognition).
- Exposure to marketing and revenue technology such as Marketo, Gong or comparable tools.
- A track record of driving platform adoption and internal user experience, using usage data and user feedback to improve the tools.
- A track record of driving AI-enabled or AI-native ways of working into a platform estate, and of designing in end-to-end journeys rather than single applications.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with NetSuite and Zone, or comparable ERP and subscription-billing tooling.
- Experience owning a system roadmap across a front-office to finance boundary.
- Hospitality or multi-entity commercial environment experience.
