Salary: £59,491+ depending on experience

Job Description:

As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will be leading technical requirements and be responsible for identification, definition and management of requirements throughout product lifecycle including defining and achieving acceptance through well-formed criteria, and well-planned acceptance activities. It requires collaboration within teams to deliver complex projects, balancing technical precision with adherence to safety and procedural standards.

The role demands strong communication, problem-solving, and mentorship skills to support peers and ensure quality outcomes. This role requires strong product domain knowledge and entails leading technical processes and guiding teams, leveraging deep expertise in systems engineering.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing, running and delivering regular customer liaison sessions
  • Delivering and having ownership of programme related Green Star Reviews iaw ASEL (Air Systems Engineering Lifecycle)
  • Managing requirements for the Next Generation ESS iaw Air Requirements Management approaches
  • Developing a robust and cross-stakeholder agreed Entry into Service concept and plan
  • Creating Customer implementation plans (focused on infrastructure, people, toolsets, processes etc.)
  • Managing G&TP Capability Management and ETMS input
  • Travelling to Customer bases sites
  • Interfacing with Eurofighter GmbH and NETMA

Your skills and experiences:

  • Supportability or Through-Life support experience working on military or civil aircrafts
  • Robust and demonstratable systems engineering knowledge
  • In-depth knowledge of customer operations

Working within the Support and Services SDU, in Fast Jet Support on a new exciting engineering programme called Next Generation Engineering Support System.

As the existing legacy ESS solution faces increasing technical and sustainability challenges, the NGESS programme has been established to deliver a modern, future-proof replacement. Through the development of an advanced technical solution following digital engineering approaches, NGESS will ensure continued support for our customers and enable the Typhoon platform to remain effectively supported through its projected Out of Service dates, which extend several decades into the future.
