Newfire is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer with SaaS experience to develop and enhance a next-generation clinical technology platform. This platform will serve as the foundation for all clinical data and operations across every line of business. By designing and implementing scalable, high-performance solutions, this engineer will drive innovation, optimize system performance, and ensure seamless user experiences. Their efforts will empower healthcare professionals with the technology needed to enhance care management, utilization management, and data-driven decision-making—ultimately improving healthcare outcomes for millions of Americans.

Your day-to-day activities:

• Work with the team on new ideas, best practices, and strategies for front-end and back-end development for given applications

• Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable JavaScript and Go code

• Implement innovative applications using GoLang & Angular

• Implement Web API using REST

• Identify and solve bottlenecks and bugs

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

• Support with Scrum / Agile software development approach (e.g., sprints, standups, retros, planning, pointing, grooming, etc.)

• As a Senior team member, you will be expected to actively participate in our hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles across the company.

You’re a perfect match if you have:

• 6+ years of solid hands-on experience in designing & developing front-end and back-end applications for web-based applications.

• 3+ years of experience working with Go.

• Knowledge of Go routers libraries as Gorilla Mux, Chi or similar

• Good understanding of concurrency principles, go-routines

• Understanding and experience working with microservices architecture. 

• Deep understanding of system design and data structures and experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB

• Experience with the latest UI development frameworks and technologies in the industry, especially Angular 2+

• Experience with utilizing the latest JS features with TypeScript

• Experience with creating and consuming RESTful APIs

• Experience with unit/integration testing

• Experience in working with Agile Teams

• Experience with code management systems like Git

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka

• Experience working with AWS
