We’re seeking a Business Analyst to help define, prioritise and support the delivery of change across digital channels and member experience. In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the Fund, including Technology, Digital and Data teams, to support initiatives, projects and BAU outcomes that improve how members engage with AustralianSuper.

Your New Role

As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in understanding business needs, analysing processes and translating requirements into clear, actionable documentation. You’ll support the delivery of digital and member experience initiatives, helping ensure solutions are practical, measurable and aligned to member needs.

You’ll work with Product Owners, initiative leads, delivery partners and stakeholders to gather requirements, contribute to planning and support implementation. The role will suit someone who enjoys working in agile environments, building productive relationships and helping teams deliver meaningful change.

Key duties include but are not limited to;

  • Conduct business analysis activities, including defining and documenting business, information and process requirements.
  • Elicit requirements through interviews, document reviews, workshops, surveys and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate stakeholder workshops to support requirements gathering and configuration outcomes.
  • Analyse current solutions, data and processes, and recommend system or process improvements.
  • Prepare detailed requirements documentation, including process maps, user stories and supporting materials in tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Collaborate with developers and testers to refine requirements, address functional questions, support testing activities, and ensure the delivered solution aligns with business objectives.
  • Support prioritisation, estimation, portfolio reporting and delivery planning activities.
  • Contribute to agile delivery activities, including PI planning, scrum events, backlog refinement and delivery improvement.
  • Support effective governance, compliance and risk management practices in line with Fund requirements and frameworks.

What You’ll Need

  • Experience as a Business Analyst supporting the successful delivery of significant projects or initiatives.
  • Experience working on digital initiatives across areas such as customer portals, web content management, online analytics, digital microservices or APIs.
  • Proven ability to gather requirements and deliver outcomes with minimal supervision.
  • Strong understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements.
  • Ability to write clearly and present complex analysis in accessible formats, including experience with digital and agile methods such as user stories.
  • Ability to bring together member preferences, regulatory requirements and strategic priorities to identify workable and measurable solutions.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms that can support better customer interactions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders, including executives, managers and subject matter experts.
