AI Solutions Engineer - Vitamin Well Group

We are looking for someone who wants to turn AI from new possibilities into solutions that people actually use. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with both technology and the business, from identifying the right problems to solve to building, testing and scaling solutions that create tangible value.

About the role

As AI solution engineer, you will be the link between what AI can do and what the business actually needs. You will work with different teams to understand how they operate today, identify where AI can create value and then build and test solutions yourself.

This is not a strategy-only role. You will work hands-on with AI, automation, data and development, driving initiatives from the initial idea through to implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Identifying and prioritising AI opportunities across the organisation

• Analysing workflows and building AI-powered solutions, agents and automations

• Prototyping, testing and iterating solutions with real users

• Measuring impact and scaling successful solutions across teams and markets

• Evaluating new AI models, tools and technologies and translating them into practical business applications

We see programming as a craft. We are therefore looking for someone who enjoys building, testing and iterating solutions themselves rather than simply describing what should be done. You will be part of a small team building the technical foundation for Vitamin Well Group's next phase of digital development. The team works across areas including e-commerce, internal tools, data and AI.

You will also work closely with commercial, operational and functional teams across the organisation. This means moving between different types of problems and business contexts. We work in short iterations and start from real business needs. When an idea shows potential, the goal is to quickly move from prototype to something people actually use.

Who you are

You have a few years of relevant experience within AI, automation, data, software development or a related field, and enjoy turning ideas into practical solutions. You are curious and hands-on, comfortable working at the intersection of technology and business, and enjoy understanding how things work and where there are opportunities to improve. You take ownership of your work and enjoy collaborating with different teams and stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, we believe you have

• Hands-on experience with AI, automation, data, software development or similar technologies in a business context

• Experience with LLMs, AI tools and workflow automation

• Experience building AI agents, agentic workflows or AI orchestration

• Experience building or implementing AI-powered solutions used by real users

• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, combined with a proactive approach and sense of ownership

It is a plus if you also have

• Strong skills in Python and SQL, as well as experience with APIs, integrations and data

• Experience evaluating different LLMs, AI models or APIs

• Experience with fine-tuning, inference optimisation or reasoning techniques

Experience with modern data platforms, cloud environments or scaling AI solutions across an organisation
