ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Finance Analyst for a permanent full-time position to join our team in Spring Hill (Brisbane) or Redfern (Sydney).

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing clear and well-presented data driven information for effective analysis and delivery of finance outcomes. You also assist in the implementation and alignment of finance functions and initiatives within the portfolio against the national finance strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Finance Business Partner in providing data and proactive commercial advice to business units and business support groups.
  • Undertake distinct finance projects as required.
  • Measure performance against defined standards and monitor.
  • Identify and action operational improvements across Finance functions.  
  • Work closely with the Business Partner to provide decision support from a commercial and risk perspective within an appropriate time frame.
  • Facilitate effective communication so that a Finance data-based approach is developed that sustains and continuously improves mission outcomes.

ABOUT YOU

Your stakeholder management skills would play an imperative role as you would be collaborating with various stakeholders across the portfolio and within finance function.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Economics. CPA/CA (or progress towards) is desirable.
  • Intermediate spreadsheet skills will be an advantage. 
  • Experience in working with management and budget owners engaging sound communication skills.
