Full description

We’re looking for a QA Engineer who is curious about how customers work, communicates clearly, and takes pride in helping teams deliver reliable, intuitive software. You’ll work directly with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, challenge assumptions, and ensure that our products solve the right problems.

This role combines hands-on testing, requirements discovery, and collaboration throughout development. We value someone who uses AI thoughtfully to expand test coverage, investigate problems, and improve productivity while applying independent judgment to the results.

This is a remote position but you must live and be a full time resident in one of the following states:  PA, NJ, DE, OH, or FL.

In this role, you will:

  • Work directly with customers, product managers, engineers, and support teams to understand workflows, clarify needs, and define testable acceptance criteria.
  • Identify missing requirements, conflicting assumptions, and potential usability issues before development begins.
  • Develop and execute test plans covering real customer scenarios, edge cases, integrations, and regression risks.
  • Investigate issues and document reproducible defects with clear evidence, expected behavior, and customer impact.
  • Build and maintain appropriate automated tests, balancing automation with exploratory testing and human judgment.
  • Communicate testing progress, coverage gaps, and release risks clearly so teams can make informed decisions.
  • Use AI to generate test ideas, identify overlooked scenarios, assist with automation, and analyze failures—then verify the accuracy and usefulness of its output.
  • Help improve how the entire team prevents defects and learns from issues that reach customers.

You’ll bring:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical issues to people with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • A demonstrated interest in working directly with customers: asking thoughtful questions, listening carefully, and confirming shared understanding.
  • Experience translating requirements and customer workflows into practical testing strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the judgment to prioritize issues by customer impact.
  • Familiarity with software testing practices, defect tracking, and tools for investigating application behavior.
  • Practical experience using AI tools, including providing useful context, refining requests, recognizing limitations, and validating results.
  • A collaborative approach to quality and the confidence to raise concerns constructively.

Success means customers’ needs are understood, important issues are discovered early, and the team has a clear picture of product quality and release readiness.
