Senior QA Engineer (DT0000000019)

At ZCAM, we are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to strengthen our QA chapter and advance quality engineering. You will establish effective testing practices, mentor QA colleagues, improve existing test environments and help transform manual testing into robust automated workflows using Playwright, TypeScript and performance-testing tools. Working closely with developers, architects, business analysts and stakeholders, you will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

We are seeking a QA professional with at least five years of experience and a strong hands-on background in software quality assurance, test automation and technical leadership. You should have experience mentoring QA engineers at different seniority levels, shaping quality strategy across multiple projects and influencing engineering practices.

What you will do

• Shape and apply QA architecture, testing standards and quality gates across projects to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery.

• Define testing strategies based on requirements and risks and oversee the full QA lifecycle from planning and execution to release sign‑off.

• Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and suites using Playwright and TypeScript, integrated into CI/CD pipelines.

• Act as a key QA partner for developers, architects and business stakeholders, influencing design and delivery decisions to embed quality early and continuously.

• Mentor QA colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, tools and responsible AI‑enabled workflows within QA chapter.

What you bring

• Extensive experience in software quality assurance, including test automation and leading QA activities within complex projects.

• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for web and API test automation, integrated into modern CI/CD workflows.

• Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, JSON) and experience troubleshooting across distributed systems.

• Practical experience with test management and collaboration tools (e.g. TestRail, Jira, Confluence) to communicate quality status and risks clearly.

• Very good written and spoken English and Slovenian, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
