We're a global organisation with a strong New Zealand heritage, combining the scale and stability of an established business with a genuine focus on innovation and continuous improvement. Across our Centres of Excellence, you'll partner with our Business Units and work with talented people who bring different perspectives, disciplines and expertise together to solve meaningful business challenges.
Alongside a competitive salary and annual performance bonus, you'll enjoy:
- Flexible hybrid working that supports work-life balance
- Free onsite parking, a subsidised café and great local eateries
- Life & Disability Insurance
- Boost App membership and exclusive Gallagher staff discounts
- Ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities
- Team events, guest speakers, wellbeing initiatives and an inclusive, social culture
The Opportunity
This isn't a role where you'll simply document requirements and hand them over.
As our Senior Business Analyst, you'll sit within Gallagher's Digital Business Technology Portfolio Management Office, working at the intersection of business needs, technology and project delivery. You'll partner with stakeholders across the organisation to understand what's really driving a problem, create clarity from ambiguity and turn business needs into practical solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
You'll have visibility across a diverse portfolio of initiatives, influencing everything from process improvement and solution design through to testing, implementation and adoption. You'll work closely with Project Managers, Architects, technical teams, business leaders and change specialists - making sure we're solving the right problems, not just automating the existing ones.
You'll be responsible for
- Leading discovery, requirements elicitation, process analysis and solution shaping across key initiatives
- Translating complex business needs into clear, practical and actionable requirements
- Challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and making evidence-based recommendations
- Facilitating workshops and bringing diverse stakeholders together around shared outcomes
- Supporting projects through delivery, testing, implementation and business adoption
- Coaching and mentoring Business Analysts and championing best-practice analysis across DBT
The Fit
You're an experienced Business Analyst who thrives where things aren't always clearly defined. You bring strong commercial and analytical thinking, can quickly get to the heart of a business problem and have the credibility to influence stakeholders across both business and technology.
You'll also bring:
- 5+ years' experience as a Senior Business Analyst, including coaching or mentoring others
- Strong requirements elicitation, process analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience supporting initiatives across the full project lifecycle
- Confidence working across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
A tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Business Analysis or a related discipline is preferred, along with relevant BA certification or experience with tools such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Power BI or requirements/process mapping platforms.
If you're ready to move beyond simply analysing problems and want to shape better ways of working across a global organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and the role may be filled before the closing date.
