About the Role

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical) to ensure quality assurance and quality control compliance for a large-scale industrial project in Dahej, Gujarat. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring construction quality, conducting inspections, reviewing test reports, and ensuring all civil works are executed in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain project QA/QC procedures, inspection plans, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct inspections of civil works including excavation, foundations, RCC, structural works, paving, and finishing activities.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, method statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Verify quality of materials, workmanship, and construction activities as per project requirements.
  • Coordinate site inspections with contractors, consultants, and project teams.
  • Review and maintain quality records, test reports, checklists, and inspection documents.
  • Monitor concrete works, reinforcement inspections, formwork checks, and field testing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Raise and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
  • Coordinate laboratory testing of concrete, soil, aggregates, and other construction materials.
  • Participate in quality audits and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of civil QA/QC procedures and construction quality standards.
  • Experience in inspection and quality control of RCC, structural, and infrastructure works.
  • Familiarity with inspection reports, ITPs, method statements, and quality documentation.
  • Knowledge of concrete technology, material testing, and civil construction practices.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and quality reporting systems.
