Garda is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to serve as the primary technology owner for the New York office and trading floor experience. This is a hands-on role focused on high-touch executive-level user support, endpoint and office technology operations, and the local execution of global infrastructure standards. The role will resolve user issues quickly, keep the site's technology reliable, coordinate with local vendors and Garda's MSP, and participate in global infrastructure operations and projects. The role is expected to understand the broader technology landscape and to work as part of a shared-ownership, follow-the-sun infrastructure team and a standalone local help desk.

Position Responsibilities

Workplace & End-User Technology

  • Serve as the primary on-site technology contact for New York employees, including traders, investment professionals, executives, and business teams.
  • Provide deskside support across Windows, macOS, mobile devices, Microsoft 365, collaboration tools, printing, peripherals, and business applications.
  • Manage endpoint provisioning, imaging, configuration, Intune enrollment, software deployment, and lifecycle activities.
  • Provide white-glove support during time-sensitive issues, maintaining clear communication and ownership through resolution.

Site, Trading Floor & Office Technology

  • Support local network connectivity, Wi-Fi, meeting-room AV/VC, and trading-floor technology in coordination with global infrastructure owners.
  • Monitor site technology health, troubleshoot, and escalate issues with clear diagnostics and impact information.
  • Coordinate office technology changes, moves, installations, and vendor work in line with firm standards.

Operational, Vendor & Security Support

  • Act as the local liaison to Garda's MSP, triaging tickets and driving issues to resolution.
  • Support vulnerability remediation, endpoint patching, and other security-related operations under established procedures.
  • Participate in incident, change, and problem-management processes, and provide on-site support during technology or security events.
  • Maintain accurate runbooks, inventory, and support documentation.

Global Infrastructure Participation

  • Contribute to global infrastructure projects, rollouts, migrations, and service improvements.
  • Build working knowledge across endpoint, identity, network, and infrastructure domains.
  • Participate in shared ownership and follow-the-sun handoffs with teammates in North America, Geneva, and Singapore.
  • Identify recurring issues and work with engineering teammates to improve standards and automation.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in workplace technology, desktop engineering, or site IT operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, mobile, Microsoft 365, Intune (or similar), printing, networking, and AV/VC systems.
  • Working understanding of identity (Active Directory/Entra ID), network fundamentals, and endpoint security.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and know when to escalate to senior engineers.
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor supporting executives and investment professionals.
  • Ability to lift, move, cable, and install office technology as needed.
  • Detail-oriented approach to inventory, documentation, and change execution.
