We are responsible for the end-to-end digital and physical Guest experience for all technology & digital-led initiatives across the Attractions & Entertainment, Food & Beverage, Resorts & Transportation and Merchandise lines of business as well as other initiatives including MyDisneyExperience and Hey, Disney!
This role sits in the US Parks organization within Technology & Digital for Disney Experiences. It works closely with all Disney Experience Brands and Products from across the company.
About The Role & Team:
- The Edge Security Site Reliability Engineering team supports more than 4000 teams worldwide supporting new product launches, brands announcements, key events, and ongoing Edge Security
- Our team is dispersed over multiple locations to allow for support of our worldwide partners and brands.
- Work closely with our Global Information Security teams to insure compliance to corporate standards, fulfilment of audit requests, and alignment of Disney Experiences brands to Disney Security standards.
What You'll Do:
- Drive a DevSecOps culture among peers and developers
- Design, build, and support of security policies
- Consult, design, build, and support development pipelines, automate infrastructure and operations, create telemetry for monitoring, engineer high reliability and reinforce best- practices to secure company data
- Strong security systems skills on Web Application Firewalls, and must have extensive experience with web technologies, source control management using Git
- Bring knowledge on systems, network, operational excellence and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, operational excellence and application stability, security, performance, and capacity management, as well as documentation
- You will be expected to stay up to date with emerging technologies
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience
- Proficient in agile environments
- Applied understanding of observability principles using relevant tools
- Hands-on experience with CI tools like Gitlab, AWS CodeBuild, Azure DevOps
- Proficient in configuration management tools: Terraform, Ansible, Chef
- Experience in procedural programming languages (Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Go, Rust, C/C++)
- Skilled in Cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Collaborative in building reliable, scalable enterprise systems
- Capable of identifying root causes in large-scale distributed systems
- Proficient in UNIX/Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security
- Leading technical projects and ensuring smooth delivery
- Collaborative work with Security Operations teams for secure solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, network, and code
- Proficiency in Akamai or similar CDN/security solutions, with a proactive demeanor towards continuous learning and skill development, and an interest in mastering emerging data engineering tools and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high demand releases and brands
- PCI audit and standards experience
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
