Summary

This position is responsible for the PMO department through supervision, planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role will perform the following duties. Using industry-standard practices and principles from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). The work will regularly interface Scrum, Agile, Kanban, and Lean teams.

Essential Duties

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, success criteria and metrics, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively to ensure there are no resource-allocation collisions amongst the projects being planned or in flight
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Lead the organization’s PMO function by effectively engraining and following PMI methodology into all projects, programs, and portfolios.
  • Effectively measure results of implemented projects and communicate with AllCare Senior Leadership.

Job Duties

  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets that support both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues.
  • Lead project teams and coordinate activities to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Monitor and control project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders.
  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively.
  • Ensure that team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Establish and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Conduct regular quality assessments and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Facilitate and implement change management strategies as it relates to formal PMO projects.
  • Help drive organizational change and transparency as it relates to project implementation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders.
  • Ensure that project objectives align with organizational goals.
  • Generate regular reports on project progress, issues, and risks.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Help to effectively build and maintain a robust project management office (PMO).
  • Refine processes, and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully takes direction from leadership.
  • Meets all required training including those listed in Relias Learning Module System (LMS).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four-year college or university in business, healthcare administration, or a related field.

Experience

  • 5+ years of contiguous experience in project management, preferably in a healthcare or related setting.
  • Proven experience working with and communicating to organizational Senior-Leadership-level personnel.
  • Prior experience motivating teams, managing issues, scope, quality, escalations, and risks.

Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or similar certification is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in project management software, Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and ensure project success.
  • Clear and effective communication with stakeholders on multiple aspects of implementation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
  • Expertise in breaking projects into measurable tasks and tracking progress to completion.
