Position Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer projects from contract review through final delivery. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales, this role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer requirements and company quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer projects from launch through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and priorities.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address risks or delays.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and ensure customer requirements are communicated across departments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer projects.
  • Communicate project status, timelines, and issues with customers and internal teams.
  • Coordinate activities between Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Shipping, and Sales to ensure project success.
  • Ensure materials, tooling, documentation, and resources are available to support production schedules.
  • Assist in resolving production issues that may impact project timelines or customer deliveries.
  • Support first article inspections (FAIs), customer approvals, and other project-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, schedules, and status reports.
  • Track project performance, timelines, and key deliverables.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve project execution and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Project Management, or a related field. PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and project management principles.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems such as JobBoss is an asset.
  • Bilingual English and French written and spoken to communicate with clients and read and understand customer documentation.
