Full description

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC, and fulfil your potential - whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or an exciting new direction, we offer opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We’re currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Product Manager - Unsecured Lending.

Ready to turn customer insight and campaign performance into clear actions that drive sustainable growth? Join HSBC’s Unsecured Lending team and help make our Existing to Bank (ETB) cross-sell smarter, more relevant and more effective — while strengthening our Early Months on Book (EMoB) onboarding and engagement so customers get off to the best possible start

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you’ll have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you’ll:

  • Run end-to-end ETB cross-sell campaigns for Credit Cards and Personal Loans — from brief and audience definition through to launch and post-campaign optimisation
  • Partner with Marketing/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to improve messaging, sequencing, channel mix and frequency, using a test-and-learn mindset
  • Own performance tracking and insight, pulling together funnel, conversion, channel results and customer behaviours to spot what’s working (and what isn’t)
  • Translate complex data into a clear story and actions — priorities, trade-offs and next steps that stakeholders can get behind
  • Monitor EMoB performance, identify key drivers and risks early, and support a clear “path to green” with agreed actions and follow-through
  • Work with CRM & Analytics to sharpen targeting and segmentation (eligibility logic, suppression rules, propensity where available) to improve efficiency and relevance
  • Coordinate delivery across Product, Digital, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, Ops and Tech to keep activity on track and within governance
  • Continuously improve ways of working so we move faster, learn quicker and deliver better customer outcomes

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrable strong customer and product journey experience — you can turn customer needs and behaviours into practical improvements
  • Experience using insight (campaign data, digital analytics, research) to diagnose issues and recommend actions that improve performance and outcomes
  • Hands-on experience supporting CRM and/or customer communications, including targeting/segmentation and message optimisation
  • Confidence working at pace across multiple priorities — you bring structure to ambiguity and help teams land decisions
  • Solid stakeholder skills — you’re comfortable influencing across teams with different priorities (Marketing, Digital, Risk, Compliance, Ops, Tech, etc.)
  • A confident and clear communicator — you can tailor the message for different audiences, including senior stakeholders
  • Strong delivery discipline — you’re organised, accurate and keep things moving from plan to launch to optimisation
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to produce clear updates, analysis and performance summaries
