Position overview
We are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join our Operations team at PTisp and help ensure our infrastructure is secure, stable, and high-performing.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working close to production systems, solving real operational problems, and gradually improving automation, reliability, and scalability.
What you’ll be doing
- Administering and maintaining Linux systems in production environments
- Managing and monitoring critical services (Web, email, databases)
- Troubleshooting incidents and solving issues
- Collaborating with the team to continuously improve infrastructure security, performance, and reliability
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience with Unix/Linux operating systems
- Knowledge of DBMS (MySQL)
- Experience with LAMP/LEMP stacks (including HTTP protocol)
- Understanding of email protocols and related services
- Basic knowledge of DNS fundamentals
Nice to have:
- Experience with shared hosting panels (cPanel, Plesk)
- Knowledge of backup systems (R1Soft, Acronis, Veeam, Proxmox Backup Server, JetBackup)
- Configuration management (Puppet, Ansible)
- Virtualization or containers (KVM, Docker, LXC)
- Monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Open-source published projects/contributions.
