Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, a typical day involves acting as a software detective by diligently investigating and resolving issues across various components of essential business systems. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring system health, identifying anomalies, and ensuring continuous service availability. The engineer collaborates with different teams to understand system behaviors, troubleshoot complex problems, and implement effective solutions that maintain operational stability and support business continuity. The work environment is dynamic, requiring adaptability and a keen eye for detail to manage and mitigate risks associated with critical applications.

Must have Skill : Strong hands-on experience in Rubrik (backup, replication, SLA domains, archival), expertise in Microsoft Azure, and experience with SAP on Azure (HANA/Oracle/ASE & App VMs), including DR planning and enterprise backup architecture.

Good-to-Have Skills: Experience with Microsoft 365 backup via Rubrik SaaS, knowledge of Rubrik Security Cloud (RSC), and understanding of SaaS data protection (Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint)

Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and support of business-critical applications. - Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference. - Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues before they impact operations. - Assist junior team members by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on complex technical challenges.

Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Backup and Recovery Systems. - Strong understanding of data backup methodologies and disaster recovery processes. - Experience with monitoring and alerting tools related to backup infrastructure. - Ability to analyze system logs and diagnose issues affecting backup and recovery operations. - Familiarity with storage technologies and data protection strategies. - Skilled in coordinating with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical incidents efficiently.

Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Backup and Recovery Systems. - This position is based at our Kolkata office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
