About this Position

Join Henkel and play a key role within our Adhesive Technologies business, supporting customers across South Australia with industry-leading LOCTITE solutions. Based in Adelaide, SA, this is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded and customer-focused Sales Engineer to combine engineering expertise, technical consulting, and business development to deliver solutions that improve reliability, performance, and productivity across a diverse range of industries.

In this hands-on customer-facing role, you will provide technical support, identify customer opportunities, and develop engineering solutions using LOCTITE products. Working closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams, you will troubleshoot challenges, lead product trials, deliver technical training and demonstrations, and drive new business opportunities across key industrial sectors.

What you´ll do

  • Provide

technical application support and engineering solutions across LOCTITE maintenance, repair, reliability, and industrial assembly products.

  • Partner

with customers to identify opportunities, troubleshoot technical challenges, improve equipment reliability, and optimise processes.

  • Conduct

customer site visits, plant surveys, product trials, and technical assessments to develop tailored LOCTITE solutions.

  • Identify

and develop new business opportunities across key industrial sectors, including mining, manufacturing, food & beverage, utilities, transport, defence, and agriculture.

  • Drive

competitive conversions and growth through technical value selling and strong customer engagement.

  • Deliver

technical training, workshops, product demonstrations, and best-practice recommendations to customers and distributors.

  • Manage

customer projects and trials from initial opportunity through to successful implementation, collaborating with internal sales, technical, product, and marketing teams.

  • Maintain

strong safety, compliance, and documentation standards while supporting revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term customer relationships.

What makes you a good fit

  • 3+

years’ experience in industrial technical sales, application/sales engineering, maintenance engineering, or reliability engineering.

  • Strong

understanding of mechanical systems, industrial maintenance practices, and engineering principles.

  • Excellent

communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills, with confidence presenting at workshops and industry events.

  • Engineering

qualifications in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or a related discipline are desirable.

  • Experience

with adhesives, sealants, lubricants, coatings, industrial consumables, asset reliability, or heavy industry environments is advantageous.

  • Proficient

in Salesforce or similar CRM systems, with a current driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout South Australia.
