About the Role

Responsibilities are:

  • Drive Technical Leadership: Architect, design, and deliver complex application features while setting high technical and software standards across the team.
  • Empower & Mentor: Guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical growth, continuous learning, and clean code practices.
  • Lead Agile Initiatives: Actively shape the agile delivery lifecycle from architecture refinement and epic definition through production releases.
  • Build Scalable Architecture: Own non-functional requirements to ensure long-term application health, system resilience, security, and performance at scale.
  • Drive Innovation: Evaluate emerging industry trends, AI tools, and elastic cloud technologies to advocate for and implement innovative solutions.
  • Optimize Security & Compliance: Embed robust secure development practices and vulnerability mitigation protocols into the continuous delivery pipeline.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Partner closely with product management, cross-functional engineering teams, and external vendor partners to align technical strategies with business priorities.
  • Ensure High Availability: Provide strategic tier-3 support for production systems to maintain high operational standards and minimize service disruptions.
  • Effectively manage your priorities and time.

About You

Your qualifications are:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, architecture, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 6+ years in a technical software development role with demonstrated progression into senior-level technical leadership.
  • 4+ years of deep experience architecting and developing enterprise Java applications using Spring Framework, with comprehensive automated testing practices.
  • Extensive experience designing, building, securing, and maintaining scalable RESTful microservices and API ecosystems.
  • Advanced expertise with cloud services (AWS or Azure), including hands-on experience with containerized applications (Kubernetes, ECS/Fargate), serverless architecture (Lambda), messaging (SQS, SNS), and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation or Terraform).
  • Proven track record in database design, complex SQL optimization, and efficient ORM/data access management for high-throughput applications.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully leading the architectural lifecycle of major production-grade features from inception to deployment.
  • Strong expertise in system design patterns, distributed systems architecture, microservices, and clean code principles.
  • Deep knowledge of secure development practices, security testing methodologies, and vulnerability resolution using tools like Snyk or Qualys.
  • Strong inclination toward CI/CD automation, DevOps principles, performance tuning, and proactive system monitoring.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to mentor team members and convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
