Django Backend Lead Developer

Role: Senior Django Lead / Developer Experience: 9+ Years Location: Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Django Lead with 9+ years of software development experience and strong expertise in Python, Django, enterprise application development, and system integrations. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of scalable web applications, drive architecture decisions, mentor development teams, and deliver robust integration solutions across enterprise systems, cloud platforms, and third-party applications.

Skill Requirements

Required Skills

  • 9+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Strong expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
  • Extensive experience in designing and consuming REST APIs, web services, and microservices.
  • Strong experience with enterprise integrations, including:
  • Third-party API integrations
  • ERP/CRM integrations (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.)
  • Payment gateway integrations
  • Identity and Access Management integrations (OAuth2, SAML, OpenID Connect, Azure AD)
  • Middleware and integration platforms
  • Experience with asynchronous processing using Celery, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and database optimization techniques.
  • Experience with  Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Terraform, and CI/CD processes.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, security, and scalability principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with FastAPI and modern Python frameworks.
  • Frontend experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Exposure to API Gateway technologies and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) solutions.
  • Knowledge of event-driven and distributed system architectures.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or Splunk.

This is a remote position.
