Overview: The Project Manager I will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects. The Project Manager I, will work closely with senior project management staff to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in project management who are looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning and Coordination: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with senior project management and engineering teams. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to project sites. Review project specifications, drawings, and contract documents to ensure alignment with project requirements. 2. Construction Execution and Oversight: Support the management and coordination of construction activities on-site, including subcontractor work, equipment installations, and material handling. Assist in monitoring progress against project schedules and budgets and provide regular updates to senior project management staff. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure work is being performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. 3. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and change orders. Prepare and distribute reports to senior project management and stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and issues. Assist in tracking project expenses, costs, and variances against budgeted amounts. 4. Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. Communicate effectively with project management and stakeholders to address project issues, concerns, and changes in a timely manner. Assist in facilitating regular project meetings and conference calls to ensure alignment and coordination among project teams. 5. Risk Management and Issue Resolution: Identify potential risks, issues, and challenges that may impact project delivery, and work with senior project management to develop mitigation strategies. Assist in resolving project-related issues, conflicts, and disputes in a timely and professional manner to minimize project delays and disruptions. Implement corrective actions and follow-up measures to address project issues and prevent reoccurrence. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction project management or related field. Basic understanding of construction methods, techniques, and terminology. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
