Jayman Living is seeking a Jr. Project Manager for our Mixed-Use Division - a role that offers hands-on involvement in transformative projects, the chance to grow your skills, and clear pathways to career development.

Your role will be involved with not only this exciting project but others in the Jayman Living portfolio.
A day in the life of a Jr. Project Manager in Mixed-Use
Owner's Representation & Project Oversight:
- Support overall project execution, including cost tracking, schedule monitoring, quality assurance, and reporting.
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring General Contractor performance against contract requirements, schedule, and budget.
- Support issue resolution by coordinating input from GC's, consultants, and trade partners.
- Represent Jayman professionally in daily interactions with project stakeholders.
Technical & Document Control:
- Maintain accurate and organized project records including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, meeting minutes, and correspondence
- Track approvals and ensure timely distribution of information to relevant parties
- Support compliance with construction documents, consultant designs, and municipal requirements
Contract & Financial Administration:
- Assist with consultant procurement, scope reviews, and bid analysis.
- Support contract administration activities including change management, progress draws, forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Track and review change orders, budget impacts, and potential risks.
- Assist with project financial reconciliation and close-out documentation.
- Support administration of construction contracts in accordance with CCDC contract frameworks and Jayman standards.
- Support compliance with City of Calgary municipal processes, approvals, and permitting requirements as they relate to project execution.
Site Coordination & Close-Out:
- Participate in site meetings, coordination reviews, inspections, and deficiency walks.
- Assist with deficiency tracking, follow-up, and resolution.
- Support commissioning, turnover, and project close-out activities.
What you will bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a diploma in Construction-related Engineering Technology (equivalencies considered).
- 3-5 years in construction as a Project Coordinator, Project Engineer, or similar role.
- Exposure to mixed use commercial construction projects of varying size and complexity.
- Experience and familiarity with Calgary's building codes and City of Calgary municipal processes.
- PMP or CAPM designation (or working toward) is considered an asset.
- Experience with CCDC contracts and general construction legal documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, Outlook, Project) and Bluebeam.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, schedules, contracts, and scopes of work.
- Strong digital organization skills; experience with cloud-based files and task management systems.
