About the Role
Village Roadshow (member of Antenna Group) is a leading entertainment brand, best known for its cinemas, delivering an unparalleled movie-going experience to over 3 million viewers annually. As we continue to expand our operations and enhance our IT services, we are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for an experienced IT professional who can take ownership of day-to-day technical operations across our corporate offices and cinema locations, provide advanced user support, and contribute actively to infrastructure improvements and IT projects. The position combines hands-on technical expertise with strong problem-solving and communication skills, requiring someone who can work independently while collaborating closely with the IT Manager and external technology partners.
Responsibilities:
- Provide second-line technical support to employees across corporate offices and cinema sites, troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, operating system, network, and application issues.
- Take ownership of technical incidents and service requests, coordinating with vendors or third-party providers when escalation is required.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, POS systems, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Support and maintain the company's LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, switching, firewall, and internet connectivity across multiple locations.
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and related infrastructure services.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and system access, following company security policies and GDPR requirements.
- Perform routine system administration tasks, including monitoring, patching, backups, and infrastructure health checks.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, access management, equipment preparation, and decommissioning.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT infrastructure, configurations, assets, licenses, warranties, and support procedures.
- Identify recurring technical issues and contribute to permanent solutions, automation, and process improvements.
- Coordinate with external vendors, telecom providers, and technology partners regarding incidents, repairs, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Participate actively in IT infrastructure projects, including hardware and software deployments, system migrations, network upgrades, cloud adoption, and security improvements.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies and solutions that can improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency across the organization.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and end users when required.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments.
- Good working knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, business applications, and network connectivity.
- Experience working in a multi-site IT environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail, hospitality, or cinema technology environments will be considered a strong advantage.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization, cloud platforms, endpoint management, or IT security technologies is considered an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate issues beyond basic helpdesk procedures.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple incidents and technical tasks independently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation and detail.
- Excellent communication skills in Greek and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
