Full stack with Agentic AI & React - USA

The Role

Cogniify is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build product experiences around AI agents. React and TypeScript are central to this role, but you will also work with APIs and backend services to deliver complete features. We are looking for someone who has built applications from scratch and shipped them to production.

The work includes interfaces where users can follow an agent’s progress, review actions, approve steps, and understand results or errors. You should be able to make these experiences clear and reliable while understanding how the agents, tools, and services behind them work.

What You’ll Do

• Build enterprise applications and new product features, with a strong focus on React and TypeScript.

• Own features from frontend design through API and backend integration, testing, deployment, and production support.

• Create reusable components, manage application state, and design workflows that make agent capabilities easy to use.

• Build interfaces for multi-step agent workflows, including actions, approvals, progress, results, errors, and human review.

• Connect the frontend to backend services, agent orchestration layers, APIs, and enterprise systems. Contribute to backend code when needed.

• Integrate agent capabilities involving tool calls, context and state, retrieval, multi-step workflows, and actions in enterprise systems.

• Give users clear controls, validation, and ways to handle failures or escalate an issue.

• Use Codex, Claude, Claude Code, or similar AI development tools for coding, debugging, testing, and prototyping, and review the output carefully.

• Take part in product and architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.

What We’re Looking For

• 6-9 years of professional software engineering experience preferred.

• Deep production experience with React and TypeScript, including frontend architecture, state management, API integration, and testing.

• Full-stack experience beyond frontend development, with the ability to work on backend services and integrations.

• Experience building substantial product features from scratch and shipping user-facing applications to production.

• Hands-on familiarity with AI agents and agentic application development.

• Understanding of multi-step workflows, tool or function calling, context and state, retrieval or RAG, and agent integration with APIs.

• Familiarity with an agent framework or SDK such as LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, Anthropic tooling, or a comparable technology.

• Familiarity with Codex, Claude Code, or a similar AI-assisted development workflow.

• Strong testing, debugging, performance, reliability, and production engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, Node.js, or comparable production technologies.

• Experience designing human-in-the-loop interfaces and complex workflows.

• Experience with streaming AI interfaces or long-running workflows.

• Experience with agent evaluation, observability, guardrails, and failure handling.

• Experience building SaaS, financial, or other enterprise applications where reliability and user control matter.
