Rogers Communications is currently looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to provide professional and reliable financial stewardship as it relates to the HR, Legal, and Supply Chain portfolios. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this position requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills as they will be a trusted business partner have direct interaction with senior management. They will also need to balance various tasks/demands in a timely manner within a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Key lead for budget and forecast preparations, reporting packages, business cases, projects and ad hoc analysis for corporate support groups
  • Build relationships with business department leads to ensure appropriate information flow and understanding of overall reporting process
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting and analyses to support operational review with senior management
  • Provide value add variance commentary on financial results and key business indicators in partnership with the business
  • Manage and maintain financial models for forecasting/budgeting/month end reporting
  • Identify risks and opportunities and incorporate into plans & forecasts
  • Enhance business processes to gain efficiencies
  • Support ad hoc analysis as required

What you'll have:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience within finance
  • University degree in business with a concentration in finance, accounting or economics
  • Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) or late stages of pursing designation
  • Expert Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Hyperion Planning, Essbase and Oracle Finance ERP is an asset
  • Ability to analyze business processes and identify improvements and implement
  • Very strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience dealing with senior leadership and executive leadership team members is an asset
  • Strong time management skill, an ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities under short timelines
  • Self-motivated with a positive collaborative attitude
