This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager 1 – Events based in the United States.
This is an opportunity to manage event technology projects while serving as a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of clients. You will guide customers through the full project lifecycle, from initial requirements and configuration through implementation and ongoing support. The role combines project management, client consulting, technical problem-solving, and event-industry expertise. You will help clients optimize technology solutions around their unique event workflows and business objectives. Working across client-facing and internal teams, you will contribute to successful project delivery while identifying opportunities to expand customer value. The environment is collaborative, fast-paced, and technology-driven, with significant emphasis on service quality, organization, and continuous improvement. Accountabilities
• Manage assigned event technology projects throughout the full lifecycle, developing a clear understanding of client goals, requirements, timelines, and desired outcomes.
• Ensure accurate and timely initial system configuration and event setup, while supporting iterative changes as project requirements evolve.
• Provide consultative guidance and hands-on assistance to clients, including troubleshooting complex or difficult-to-diagnose software challenges.
• Train and advise clients on effective use of event technology, helping them align product capabilities with their specific workflows and requirements.
• Ensure clients are effectively connected with available product education resources and understand how to engage the appropriate support channels.
• Serve as an internal subject matter expert on effective implementation and use of event products and services.
• Prepare Statements of Work when project requirements expand beyond the original agreed scope.
• Partner closely with Account Management to assess client health, identify opportunities, and support the potential sale of additional products and services.
• Manage workload planning, project performance, and profitability while maintaining strong service quality and client satisfaction.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of standardized project management processes, systems, SOPs, and tools across the broader team.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 0–2 years of client-facing professional experience, preferably in a technology, SaaS, events, or related environment.
• Knowledge of the trade show industry and/or professional associations is expected.
• Strong requirements-analysis capabilities, including the ability to translate business needs into clear and technically sound requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and consistent delivery.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate value and build trusted relationships.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex project requirements.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Experience with workload planning, performance monitoring, profitability tracking, and analysis is valuable.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, solution-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
