The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a key member of Guardian's Contract & Compliance Technology (CCT) team, responsible for implementing approved product, regulatory, and contract changes within Guardian's document generation and policy issuance ecosystem.
This role partners closely with Product, Compliance, Legal, Actuarial, Operations, and Technology teams to analyze new and revised contract language, identify impacts to existing document templates and business rules, and ensure accurate implementation across multiple policy administration and document output platforms.
Initially, the position will focus heavily on supporting Guardian's Corporate Modernization efforts, including the migration of new product versions, contract provisions, and business rules into document issuance systems. As modernization initiatives advance, this role will play an increasingly strategic part in identifying opportunities to improve implementation efficiency through automation, business rule standardization, emerging technologies, and Agentic AI solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with a passion for continuous improvement and technology innovation, helping Guardian reduce reliance on legacy processes while maintaining contract accuracy and regulatory compliance.
What You'll Do
Contract Implementation & Document Administration
- Analyze approved contract, certificate, rider, amendment, and policy changes for implementation within Guardian's document generation environment.
- Translate business, legal, and compliance requirements into detailed document specifications and business rules.
- Coordinate implementation activities across contract administration, policy issuance, correspondence, and document production systems.
- Validate that contract language, eligibility provisions, benefits, limitations, and state variations are accurately reflected in issued documents.
- Support implementation of new product versions and enhancements resulting from Corporate Modernization initiatives.
Corporate Modernization Support
- Serve as a key business resource supporting the migration of product and contract logic from legacy platforms to modern administration and document systems.
- Partner with technology teams to document, analyze, and transform existing business rules and implementation processes.
- Assist in developing repeatable approaches for contract conversion and modernization activities.
- Support implementation planning, impact assessments, testing, and production readiness activities.
Knowledge Preservation & Process Sustainability
- Capture and document critical business knowledge currently maintained through highly specialized processes and long-tenured subject matter experts.
- Develop standards, documentation, and implementation methodologies that improve consistency and reduce operational risk.
- Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize contract implementation practices across product lines and systems.
Innovation & Future State Transformation
- Evaluate opportunities to leverage automation, rules-based technologies, document intelligence, and Agentic AI to improve implementation efficiency.
- Support initiatives focused on reducing manual effort associated with contract interpretation, specification development, testing, and migration activities.
- Contribute to the development of future-state implementation processes designed to support Guardian's long-term modernization strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of business analysis, insurance operations, product implementation, systems support, or related experience.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into clear documentation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
In addition to traditional Business Analysis experience, successful candidates may have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Contract administration or policy issuance systems
- Document generation or correspondence platforms
- Insurance product implementation
- Business rules analysis and configuration
- Regulatory and compliance implementations

Salary Range:
$68,970.00 - $113,310.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
