To lead the successful delivery of Cambridge WRC Upgrade project.
The scope covers developing the outline design, securing funding, supporting stakeholder engagement and undertaking the management of the upgrade for the Water Recycling Centre, including Project Management of associated consultants and contractors, linked to obligations for improvement and completion by the end of the current AMP8 investment period and beyond.
Reporting to the Programme Director, the individual will be comfortable managing change and ensuring the delivery safely on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while managing multi‑disciplinary teams, key stakeholders and interfaces and managing a D&B NEC Contractor.
Strong understanding of infrastructure delivery within a regulated water business will be beneficial and be able to operate within a high performing team, with a strong culture for doing the right thing is essential for this role.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing a team of incumbent designers across AWS stage gated process to deliver outline design.
- Managing and delivering successful ECI phase with new Major Project Framework EPC Contractor.
- Cost and budget linking into Cambridge Upgrades reporting processes.
- Comfortable operating in a fast paced, agile delivery environment with good understanding of governance.
You’ll need to have:
- Project management qualification.
- NEC ECC Project Manager Accreditation (preferred).
- Health, safety and wellbeing related qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH desirable)
- Takes ownership of project management and delivery.
- Places safety at the heart of delivery.
- NEC and CDM familiarity.
- Experience of delivery in wastewater environment (preferred)
- Experience managing ECP contracts in a regulated, infrastructure environment.
