Ciklum is looking for a Manual QA Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland.

About the role:

As a Manual QA Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum 3 years’ practical experience in system testing & acceptance
  • Experience of agile delivery methodology, including SCRUM software development processes
  • Perform manual functional testing across both web applications/API and mobile applications (OS/Android)
  • Access and query databases using SSMS (SQL Server Mgmt Studio) and navigate servers using RDP
  • Monitor and access logging records via AWS Hosted components such as Cloudwatch & Kibana
  • Forge close links with architects, developers, analysts and wider team members to build a quality assurance community
  • Drive the automation strategy by identifying test conditions during refinement sessions and collaborating with developers to automate scenarios

Requirements:

  • Competent proficiency in Postman (API), Appium (UI), and SQL
  • Competent proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and explicitly Jira X-ray for creating and managing test cases
  • Competent level of attention to detail and ability to communicate effectively with technical peers and stakeholders
  • Competent ability to prioritize workloads for self and team members and escalate key issues as required
  • Competent proficiency in accessibility testing (O/S screen readers)
  • Novice ability to learn wider systems knowledge to support integration and regression testing
  • Proven experience with using tools like Postman, Newman and yaml

Desirable:

  • Novice proficiency in X-ray for managing test cases
  • AWS Certification or demonstrable experience is welcomed as testers interact heavily with the cloud infrastructure
  • Novice proficiency in Azure DevOps
  • Familiarity with AI tooling (such as AWS Q/Kiro or Prodigy) for generating test cases from Jira tickets
