We have an opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of HVAC Quality Assurance Project Manager. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing various projects within a technical operational environment.
Why this Role is Important:
The role of Project Manager plays a pivotal role ensuring a successful execution of projects, maintains relationships with third-party vendors, and meets client needs while delivering results.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manages multiple Test and Balance projects of varying size and complexity.
- Oversee TAB and Commissioning field crews to ensure adherence to procedures and accuracy in testing
- Request and review mechanical drawings, HVAC submittals, and specifications to assist teams with areas of focus
- Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties/vendors
- Participates in contractor meetings for project planning and scheduling
- Manage change to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Review test air balancing and commissioning reports with our engineering team and contractors to develop a scope of work addressing site issues or deficiencies
- Communicate directly with customers, project engagement managers and executive teams to provide updates of findings and recommendations
- Manages project associated with approved recommended solutions
- Handles customer escalations and ensures timely resolution.
- Offers remote support to vendors/contractors during TAB and Commissioning
- Reviews surveys to ensure accuracy and quality of work align with Budderfly standards
- Holds contractors accountable for any communication, coordination, or installation issues, including completion of punch list items
- Performs the job close out process, ensuring all documentation is filed appropriately and post surveys have been uploaded and approved by all necessary parties
- Responsible for managing the financial execution of assigned projects to budget
- Review contractor invoices to ensure accuracy and all necessary supporting information has been provided.
- Other job-related duties may be assigned.
Desired Characteristics:
- Broad understanding of project management and operational policies, procedures, and practices.
- Must possess highly developed interpersonal, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
- Creative problem solver with the ability to multi-task and provide excellent customer service.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC installations
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including air balancing, duct design, VAV systems, hydronic, and controls.
- Certification through NEBB, AABC, or TABB preferred
- Bachelor ‘s Degree in Business, Economics, or other related field of study.
- Project Management Certification and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) Certification preferred but not required.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects concurrently with complex inter-dependencies.
- Experience in Energy space helpful but not required.
- Excellent problem solving and customer service skills.
- Extensive organizational and time-management skills to be able to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Flexible hours are required as field crews’ schedules will vary and include some weekend and late-night work.

Compensation
$85,000—$100,000 USD
Compensation is based on factors including level of experience, skillset, qualifications, and location.
