Bank of Georgia is looking to add an Expert Network Engineer to join our team. As a member of this team, the Expert Network Engineer's primary role will be to work closely with the technology and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and ensure the secure, stable, and efficient operation of the bank's large-scale and mission-critical network infrastructure. The role also includes the monitoring, administration, and management of network platforms.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in large-scale enterprise/service-provider networks
- Expert-level knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching and network architecture
- Expert knowledge of BGP, OSPF, IS-IS and advanced routing policies
- Extensive experience with BGP route filtering, communities, route-maps, local preference, MED, AS-path manipulation
- Strong expertise in Cisco IOS-XE/NX-OS; experience with Arista EOS / Juniper Junos is a strong advantage
- Advanced Data Center Networking experience — Spine-Leaf, VXLAN/EVPN, MLAG/VPC
- Strong experience with MPLS, L3VPN, VRF, QoS and large-scale WAN environments
- Advanced network security knowledge — Firewalls, segmentation, ACLs, IPS/IDS, IPsec VPN, 802.1X
- Strong Enterprise Wi-Fi knowledge, including controller-based architectures, RF fundamentals, 802.1X/RADIUS and roaming
- Experience designing and operating high-availability networks, including redundancy and failure scenarios
- Strong knowledge of network monitoring and observability — SNMP, Syslog, NetFlow/sFlow, telemetry
- Ability to perform complex production troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Experience with network architecture, capacity planning and technology selection
- Experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience integrating network infrastructure with cloud environments — AWS/Azure
- Experience working with critical infrastructure and zero/low-downtime change requirements
- Technical documentation and ability to produce HLD/LLD and network design documentation
Would be a strong advantage:
- CCNP/CCIE or equivalent-level expertise certifications
- Practical experience with Python, REST APIs, Git and Ansible/Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD principles for network configuration and automation
- Expert knowledge Cisco ACI Infrastructure
- Fortinet / Palo Alto knowledge (certifications)
- SD-WAN, SASE and ZTNA architectures
- Arista EVPN/VXLAN
- Cloud networking certifications
