About the role

At Dcubed, customer success means delivering flight hardware that performs exactly as promised, exactly when it is needed.

As Technical Project Manager – Solar Arrays, you will be the operational owner of customer projects from contract award through hardware delivery and integration. Working closely with the Head of Solar Arrays, you will coordinate engineering, production, quality, suppliers, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards.

You will play a key role in transforming customer requirements into flight-ready hardware, supporting missions ranging from commercial satellites in Low Earth Orbit to lunar exploration and beyond.

This is a high-ownership role for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys solving complex technical and organizational challenges, and is passionate about turning ambitious space missions into reality.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution, escalating strategic, contractual, resource-related, or major technical issues to the Head of Solar Arrays when required.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, risks, and action-item tracking, ensuring projects remain on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate project resource requirements with the Head of Solar Arrays to ensure effective staffing, prioritization, and execution of assigned projects.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing competing priorities and customer commitments.
  • Coordinate project execution across Engineering, Production, Quality, Product Assurance, Supply Chain, and AIT teams.
  • Own requirements management, compliance matrices, verification plans, and technical baselines.
  • Maintain system technical budgets, including mass, power, performance, and interface control documentation.
  • Plan and moderate customer reviews, technical reviews, project meetings, and status meetings.
  • Own project documentation, customer deliverables, and contractual data packages.
  • Identify long-lead procurements, schedule-critical activities, and project risks, and drive mitigation actions.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for suppliers, external partners, test facilities, and engineering service providers.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management, systems engineering, and customer engagement processes.

Candidate Requirements

Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in technical project management, systems engineering, or complex engineering programs.
  • Experience leading customer-facing engineering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams in aerospace or other high-technology industries.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering practices, including requirements management, interface management, verification planning, and compliance management.
  • Experience with project planning, budget tracking, schedule management, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Familiarity with spacecraft development, qualification, manufacturing, integration, and test activities is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with suppliers, subcontractors, and external technical partners.
  • Strong digital mindset with the ability to leverage AI-powered tools to streamline workflows, automate documentation and reporting, and improve project execution efficiency.
