CTG is seeking to fill a Technical Business Analyst – Data & SQL position for our client.

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6 months

Duties:

  • Serve as a Technical Business Analyst supporting data-focused projects and initiatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, developers, and data professionals to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Perform data analysis and troubleshooting to identify issues, root causes, and potential solutions.
  • Develop and maintain Business Requirements Documents, Technical Design Documents, and Data Lineage Documents.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across enterprise databases.
  • Work with Oracle and SQL Server databases; MongoDB experience is a plus.
  • Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, project meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Collaborate with Agile project teams throughout the development lifecycle, including requirements, refinement, testing, and implementation.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, issues, and opportunities related to data and technical requirements.
  • Ensure requirements and technical documentation are clear, complete, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and projects while meeting deadlines.

Skills:

  • Strong technical business analysis skills with the ability to interpret business requirements into detailed technical requirements.
  • Strong SQL skills, including experience with Oracle and SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus.
  • Strong data analysis and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent requirements documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project delivery practices.

Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience working as a Technical Business Analyst.
  • 4+ years of experience working on Agile projects.
  • 2–4+ years of SQL experience, preferably with Oracle and SQL Server; MongoDB is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in data analysis and troubleshooting.
  • 4+ years of experience writing Business Requirements, Technical Design, and Data Lineage documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and actionable solutions.
  • Proven experience facilitating meetings and collaborating with diverse business and technical stakeholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
