Job Specification Description
As a UX Designer, you will deliver intuitive product experiences based on user needs and design principles. You will be passionate about needs-based design and an advocate for design thinking and digital product design.
You will join a high-performing product team at the heart of Kainos Smart products for Workday, helping shape experiences across a growing suite of applications that enable organisations to gain greater value from their Workday investment.

Our products are at the forefront of bringing AI-powered capabilities to the Workday ecosystem, with a strong focus on intelligent automation, analytics, reporting, and user productivity.
Working closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and customers, you'll help define and deliver experiences that are intuitive, accessible, and impactful. You'll play a key role in shaping how AI is integrated into enterprise products, ensuring AI-powered features are transparent, trustworthy, and designed around real user needs.

Responsibilities
- Designs wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups, adhering to usability best practices and accessibility standards
- Design user experiences for AI-powered features and workflows, ensuring they are intuitive, transparent, and aligned with user needs.
- Leads the creation and use of journey and process maps to help prioritise and guide design direction
- Facilitates user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and validate concepts
- Works with wider project team to establish value of UX design as a discipline
- Analyse user feedback and usage data to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Data Science teams to translate AI capabilities into meaningful and usable customer experiences.
- Advocate for best practices in UX and accessibility throughout the product development lifecycle
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience designing for enterprise software or SaaS solutions
- Understanding of AI design patterns and best practices for designing AI-assisted user experiences
- Understanding of information architecture, interaction design and visual design principles
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX design, including research, interaction design, and visual design
- Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present designs and rationale to stakeholders.
Desirable
- Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies
- Knowledge of Workday product architecture
- Understanding of enterprise governance, compliance, audit, or risk management processes.
- Ability to balance business objectives with user needs to deliver high-quality solutions.
