Job Description

The QA Architect is the technical owner of the QA Test Center offering.

Working alongside the QA Manager, he defines and evolves the technical QA strategy (governance, test automation, AI, tooling), owns the deployment of all tooling that supports the offering, and represents the offering technically in front of clients — including presentation meetings and, where a client already runs its own setup, adapting the solution accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to defining the offering's QA strategy (governance, test automation, AI adoption, best practices), together with the QA Manager.
  • Design, implement and maintain the technical architecture of the QA Test Center: tools, integrations, environments and automation pipelines.
  • Deploy, configure and evolve all tooling supporting the offering (test management, automation, CI/CD, reporting, dashboards, etc.).
  • Turn the current draft of the offering into a solid, documented and repeatable technical value proposition, ready for go-to-market.
  • Support the sales process: take part in client meetings, present and technically defend the proposed setup.
  • Assess a client's existing QA setup and adapt the solution (tools, processes, integrations) when the client already has its own stack in place.
  • Prepare demos, proofs of concept and technical materials to support sales activities.
  • Keep the offering technologically up to date, tracking trends in test automation and AI applied to QA.
  • Act as the technical reference point for delivery teams using the offering on client projects.

Qualifications

  • Solid experience (ideally 5+ years) in QA/Testing, including time spent in technical architecture or technical leadership roles.
  • Proven track record defining and implementing end-to-end test automation strategies.
  • Experience with QA governance: processes, metrics, quality and reporting.
  • Client-facing experience, including technical presentations and adapting solutions to different contexts.
  • Test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalents).
  • Test management and quality tools (e.g. Azure Test Plans, Xray, TestRail, qTest, or equivalents).
  • CI/CD pipeline integration (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Knowledge of and applied interest in AI for QA (test generation, defect analysis, coverage optimization, self-healing tests, etc.).
  • Understanding of systems architecture and integrations (APIs, cloud environments, containers).
  • Ability to design and document technical architecture (diagrams, specifications, setup guides).
  • Strong technical communication skills, including in front of business and client audiences.
  • Consultative mindset, able to defend and argue technical choices.
  • Flexibility and pragmatism to adapt solutions to a client's context without losing technical rigor.
  • Ownership mindset — able to work autonomously on an offering that is still maturing.
  • Strong collaboration skills within a small, cross-functional team, working closely with the QA Manager and the Business Manager.
  • Results-driven with good business acumen, even though this is not a sales role by nature.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).

Nice to Have

  • Relevant QA/Testing certifications (e.g. ISTQB Advanced/Expert) or automation tooling certifications.
  • Prior experience structuring or launching a QA offering/product (internally or at a consultancy).
  • Knowledge of quality governance frameworks (e.g. TMMi) or DevOps/SRE practices applied to QA.
  • Experience in technical pre-sales.
