POSITION SUMMARY

The Salesforce Business Analyst supports application teams and enterprise governance for a Salesforce Center of Innovation. You will gather and document requirements, run the governance processes that keep the platform orderly, and handle both ends of the application team lifecycle: bringing new teams onto the platform and seeing departing ones off it cleanly.

The role suits an analyst who is comfortable running a stakeholder session and equally comfortable in the Salesforce platform.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Requirements and Analysis

  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, governance, process, and functional requirements with stakeholders and application teams.
  • Translate operational needs into process guidance, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable work items.
  • Produce governance artifacts and keep them accurate as processes change.

Governance

  • Coordinate enterprise-level Salesforce changes and document them before implementation in line with Center of Innovation governance processes.
  • Maintain and improve governance references and support materials in Confluence so teams can find answers without asking.
  • Participate in weekly governance and coordination calls.
  • Close out governance dependencies so nothing is left open when work completes.

Onboarding and Offboarding

  • Onboard new application teams, including orientation to governance processes and enterprise platform services.
  • Manage orderly offboarding and decommissioning, including stakeholder coordination and disposition of dormant applications.
  • Keep best-practice guidance current so teams can serve themselves.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in enterprise IT, Salesforce, business analysis, or closely related technical services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government background investigation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Salesforce Certified Business Analyst.
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator.
  • Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud or other FedRAMP environments.
  • Confluence and Jira, plus ServiceNow or a comparable IT service management platform.
  • Prior federal or public sector experience.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

The team operates against contract service levels for change coordination and documentation, application team onboarding, dormant application disposition, certificate renewal, and sandbox request turnaround. Specific targets are reviewed during onboarding.

WORK LOCATION

Primarily remote within the contiguous United States. Occasional on-site support at customer facilities may be required, along with limited off-hours availability for releases, outages, and critical incidents.
