Description

The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to join the Payroll Operations team as it continues to optimize and stabilize payroll processes and supporting technology following the implementation of Oracle, UKG, and Passport through the ExCAL program. The Business Analyst / Project Lead will serve as a key partner between Payroll, People, Finance, Information Technology, operating companies, and external vendors. This role will focus on understanding business needs, analyzing current-state processes, identifying gaps and opportunities, and translating requirements into practical solutions that improve the teammate and operating company experience. The successful candidate will help drive process standardization, support system enhancements, communicate updates to stakeholders from the business and program leadership, coordinate testing and issue resolution, and build sustainable documentation and controls for future growth.

Position Summary: The Business Analyst / Project Lead will be responsible for coordinating/leading small payroll-related activities/projects, driving process improvements, and serving as the business liaison between Payroll, People team, Finance, Information Technology, and external vendors as we support the payroll systems and processes. This role will capture & analyze business requirements and processes and facilitate solutioning, organize and drive project activities, and ensure the processes and controls support the organizational objectives while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position will work closely with business and project teams to engage stakeholders across operating companies, corporate functions, and vendor partners to successfully deliver outcomes.

Skill Set Requirements/Job Duties:

  • Lead payroll-related projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
  • Facilitate, create, and refine business requirements, user stories, and documents detailing acceptance criteria of key stakeholders.
  • Define or update complex business processes and IT system interactions as part of the requirement elicitation process and/or continuous improvement activities.
  • Analyze current payroll processes, workflows, and system capabilities to identify gaps and recommend solutions.
  • Assess, document and manage the impact of all requirements changes.
  • Work with various internal and external team members to deliver agreed-upon business requirements.
  • Coordinates user acceptance testing and managing resolution of defects or system issues.
  • Collaborates with others responsible for the application, design, testing, and implementation of solutions; works with key stakeholders to ensure the solution meets acceptance criteria.
  • Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements or process documentation to support future initiatives.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and leadership as needed.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

  • Minimum 7+ years of business analyst experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in defining process flows/value stream maps.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
