Build the backbone of Europe's EV charging ecosystem.

At Optimile, we are building the future of e-mobility.

We develop digital solutions that empower Charging Point Operators (CPOs) and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) to deliver seamless, reliable and scalable EV charging experiences across Europe.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a QA Engineer who combines a sharp eye for quality with a strong sense of ownership.

If you enjoy catching issues before customers do, turning edge cases into clear test scenarios, building robust automated test suites and helping teams ship with confidence, we'd love to meet you.

Your roleAs a QA Engineer, you'll be a key contributor within one of our cross-functional squads, taking ownership of quality from requirements through to production.

You'll work closely with your Tech Lead, Product Owner and fellow engineers to make sure what we build is thoroughly tested, reliable and scalable. You'll challenge assumptions, identify risks and continuously look for ways to improve how we approach quality.

Test automation is an important part of where we're heading. You'll gradually help build and maintain our automated test suites. Previous automation experience is a plus, not a must.

What you'll do• Design and execute functional, regression, integration and exploratory tests.

  • Own the quality of features from requirements through to production.
  • Investigate, reproduce and clearly document defects and follow them through to resolution.
  • Build and maintain automated UI and API tests, gradually expanding our automation coverage.
  • Identify gaps in test coverage and propose practical improvements.
  • Advocate for testability, clear acceptance criteria and strong QA practices.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to turn requirements into clear, testable scenarios.
  • Share your testing knowledge and help make quality a shared responsibility across the team.
  • Communicate progress, risks and blockers proactively.

What we're looking forMust-have

  • You live and work in Belgium.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional proficiency in English. Dutch is a bonus.
  • Solid experience in software QA or testing, with hands-on test automation experience.
  • Strong understanding of test design, edge cases, risk-based testing and bug reporting.
  • Experience testing web applications and APIs (e.g. REST).
  • A structured and detail-oriented mindset with the persistence to dig into root causes.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine drive to improve quality through automation.

Nice to have

  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or Postman/REST-assured.
  • Basic scripting or programming skills in JavaScript, Python or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing as part of the build process.
  • Experience working in modern Agile product teams.

Why Optimile• Meaningful challenges with real-world impact.

  • High ownership and autonomy within your squad.
  • Modern engineering practices with a strong focus on quality.
  • Close collaboration with experienced Product, Design and Engineering colleagues.
  • Plenty of opportunities to learn, share knowledge and grow.
  • An international, fast-growing company helping accelerate the transition to sustainable mobility.
