Project Manager - China

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery of utility, C&I, microgrid energy storage projects based on EnerVenue metal-hydrogen AMC battery systems. You will lead full project lifecycle including contract kickoff, design coordination, production scheduling, factory FAT, site delivery, installation supervision, commissioning, grid connection, customer acceptance and warranty handover. You will align cross-functional teams including sales, application engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, quality and external EPC partners to ensure all projects are delivered on schedule, within budget and fully compliant with performance & safety commitments. This role balances schedule control, cost management, risk mitigation, customer communication and on-site execution governance.

Key Responsibilities

Full Lifecycle Project Delivery

• Lead end-to-end energy storage project management from post-contract kickoff through final customer acceptance and warranty transition.
• Establish baseline project schedules, critical path milestones, resource allocation and weekly tracking mechanism for all assigned projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional internal teams (sales, application, electrode/cell engineering, production, procurement, QA) to resolve design, material and production bottlenecks.
• Manage external partners including EPC contractors, construction teams, grid engineering institutes and third-party inspection organizations.
• Organize factory acceptance test (FAT), on-site SAT, system commissioning, grid parallel operation and formal customer acceptance signing.

Schedule, Cost & Budget Control

• Track full project budget including equipment, BOS materials, logistics, construction, labor and third-party service fees; actively control cost deviation and propose optimization plans.
• Monitor production lead times, logistics cycles and construction progress to avoid schedule delays; formulate recovery plans once schedule slips occur.
• Standardize project cost tracking templates and weekly/monthly budget performance reports for leadership review.
• Control change order process: collect customer change requests, evaluate impact on schedule & cost, complete internal approval and formal contract supplementary agreements.

Project Risk & Quality Governance

• Identify pre-project and in-progress risks including supply shortage, grid approval delay, construction safety, performance non-compliance, cost overrun; build risk register and corresponding mitigation plans.
• Supervise on-site construction EHS management, enforce China GB safety standards for energy storage station construction.
• Track all performance commitments written in contracts, organize periodic system performance testing to ensure compliance before handover.
• Collect and close all non-conformity issues found during FAT/SAT/commissioning with closed-loop corrective actions.

Customer Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as single point of contact (SPOC) for all project customers, regular weekly progress reports to client decision-makers.
• Timely respond to customer concerns on schedule, quality, safety and performance; coordinate internal resources to resolve complaints rapidly.
• Host regular project coordination meetings with customers, EPC and grid authorities to align execution plan.
• Compile full project archive including drawings, test reports, acceptance documents, warranty files and handover records.

Cross-Functional Reporting & Process Standardization

• Provide weekly/monthly project dashboards covering schedule status, budget consumption, risk list and forecast to Director of Delivery and CTO.
• Summarize project lessons learned after handover, feed back product/process optimization suggestions to R&D and manufacturing teams.
• Participate in establishing standardized project management SOP, template library (schedule, budget, risk, acceptance) for domestic energy storage projects.
• Guide junior project coordinators as the team scales.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy Power, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management or related majors.

Core Project Experience (Non-Negotiable)

• Minimum 4 years full-cycle energy storage project management experience (utility / C&I / microgrid BESS projects).
• Complete track record delivering multi-MWh grid-connected storage projects covering design, production, logistics, site construction, commissioning and grid connection.
• Proficient in project management tools: MS Project, Excel advanced functions, project dashboard & progress tracking templates.
• Solid understanding of domestic energy storage industry chain, EPC operation mode and China grid filing & approval process.
• Familiar with storage station construction EHS standards, FAT/SAT testing procedures and national GB electrical safety codes.

Cost & Risk Capabilities

• Able to compile and control full project budget, handle change orders and cost deviation remediation independently.
• Mature risk identification, assessment and closed-loop mitigation experience for large energy projects.
• Strong cross-party coordination ability (internal departments + external EPC, grid, third-party institutes).

Language & Location

• Fluent Mandarin for on-site customer, EPC and government bureau communication.
• Professional English for regular sync with global HQ technical and delivery teams.
• Full-time based in Changzhou, China, accept frequent national business travel for site supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP / IPMA / Construction Project Management professional certification holder.
• Direct experience delivering nickel-hydrogen / long-duration energy storage projects is a plus.
• Familiar with BOS system, PCS, EMS, BMS and container storage system architecture.
• Rich resource network of domestic EPC, construction and grid engineering partners.
• Experience building PM standard process and document system for energy storage company.

核心工作职责

项目全生命周期交付管理

• 负责储能项目合同签订后启动至客户终验、质保移交全流程管理；
• 搭建项目基准计划、关键节点路径、资源分配机制，建立周度进度跟踪体系；
• 协同内部销售、应用、电芯电极、生产、采购、质量团队，解决设计、物料、生产卡点；
• 管理外部合作方：EPC 总包、施工队、电力设计院、第三方检测机构；
• 组织工厂出厂测试 FAT、现场 SAT、系统联调、并网运行及客户正式验收签字。

进度、成本与预算管控

• 统筹项目全预算：设备、辅材、物流、土建施工、人工、第三方服务费，实时监控成本偏差并输出优化方案；
• 跟踪生产交期、物流周期、土建施工进度，避免延期；出现滞后及时制定追赶计划；
• 标准化项目成本台账，输出周 / 月度预算执行报表供管理层审阅；
• 管控变更流程：收集客户需求变更，评估进度与成本影响，完成内部审批并签订补充协议。

项目风险与质量管控

• 项目前期及执行阶段识别风险：物料断供、并网审批延误、施工安全、性能不达标、成本超支，建立风险台账与闭环应对方案；
• 监管现场施工 EHS 管理，严格执行国内储能电站国标安全规范；
• 跟踪合同全部性能指标，组织阶段性系统性能复测，确保移交前全部达标；
• 闭环处理 FAT/SAT/ 调试阶段所有不良项，推动整改完成验收。

客户与多方干系人对接

• 作为项目唯一客户对接窗口，每周向客户决策层同步项目进度；
• 及时响应客户关于进度、质量、安全、性能的疑问，协调内部资源快速解决诉求；
• 定期组织客户、EPC、供电局多方项目协调会，对齐落地计划；
• 归档全套项目资料：图纸、测试报告、验收文件、质保资料、移交记录。

汇报与流程标准化建设

• 每周 / 每月输出项目看板：进度、预算消耗、风险清单、交付预判，同步交付总监与 CTO；
• 项目交付后复盘总结经验，向研发、生产输出产品与工艺优化建议；
• 参与搭建国内储能项目标准化项目管理 SOP、模板库（进度 / 预算 / 风险 / 验收）；
• 团队扩编后带教初级项目协调人员。

任职硬性要求

学历背景

本科及以上，电气工程、能源动力、机械、项目管理等相关专业。

核心项目经验（必备）

• 4 年及以上储能项目全周期管理经验（电网 / 工商业 / 微网大型储能电站）；
• 完整兆瓦级并网储能项目履历，覆盖方案、生产、物流、土建、调试并网全环节；
• 熟练使用项目管理工具：MS Project、Excel 高级函数、进度看板台账；
• 熟悉国内储能产业链、EPC 运作模式、电力并网备案审批全流程；
• 掌握储能电站施工安全规范、FAT/SAT 流程、电气国标。

成本与风险能力

• 可独立编制、管控项目全预算，处理变更与成本偏差整改；
• 大型能源项目风险识别、评估、闭环处置成熟实操经验；
• 极强内外部多方协同能力（内部部门 + EPC、供电局、第三方院所）。

语言与驻地

• 流利中文，可独立对接客户、总包、政府电力部门现场沟通；
• 商务英语，定期与全球总部技术、交付团队同步项目；
• 全职常驻常州，接受全国高频出差驻场监管项目。
