Your Mission:
As Project Manager – Propulsion System, you will lead the development and integration of VÆRIDION's electric propulsion system for next-generation electric aircraft. You will manage cross-functional activities across engineering, testing, certification, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure propulsion system milestones are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with programme and airworthiness requirements.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Lead the end-to-end propulsion system project from concept through certification and industrialisation
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
- Coordinate propulsion system design, development, testing, and integration activities across internal teams and suppliers
- Drive technical reviews, programme milestones, risk management, and change control processes
- Track technical maturity, project performance, and key deliverables against programme objectives
- Manage external partners and suppliers, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, quality, and cost targets
- Facilitate alignment between propulsion, systems, certification, manufacturing, and supply chain teams
- Support verification, validation, and certification activities for the propulsion system
- Proactively identify and resolve technical, programme, and organisational risks
- Provide clear status reporting and decision support to leadership and stakeholders
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- Several years of project management experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or another safety-critical industry
- Proven experience managing complex multidisciplinary engineering development projects
- Strong understanding of systems engineering, product development, verification, and configuration management
- Experience coordinating internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external development partners
- Excellent planning, communication, risk management, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of electric propulsion, powertrain, high-voltage, or aerospace systems is desirable
- Familiarity with aerospace certification processes is advantageous
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Proficiency with project management and product lifecycle management tools
