Full description

Calling all originals: At Levi Strauss & Co., you can be yourself — and be part of something bigger. We’re a company of people who like to forge our own path and leave the world better than we found it. Who believe that what makes us different makes us stronger. So add your voice. Make an impact. Find your fit — and your future.

At Levi Strauss & Co, we are revolutionizing the apparel business and redefining the way denim is made.

We are taking one of the world's most iconic brands into the next century: from creating machine learning-powered denim finishes to using block-chain for our factory workers' wellbeing, to building algorithms to better meet the needs of our consumers and optimize our supply chain.

Be a pioneer in the fashion industry by joining our global Data, Analytics & AI "startup with assets," where you will have the chance to build exciting solutions that will impact our global business across continents.

As a Senior Data Analyst you will be a senior individual contributor within the global Data, Analytics and AI team, turning ecommerce and consumer data into trusted, decision-ready insight for stakeholders across regions. You will own the definition, build-out, and governance of key metrics and dashboards — partnering with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Regional teams to make sure the business is steering on numbers it can trust. This role sits at the center of our analytics foundations: our data platform as the single source of truth, and the emerging semantic layer.

In this role you will move fluently between SQL, the data warehouse, and visualization tools to answer business questions, build self-service products, and certify the definitions that everyone else consumes. You will raise the bar on data quality, consistency, and storytelling — and help establish the global-with-regional-voice governance model that lets local markets move fast without fragmenting the truth.

You will be expected to mentor junior analysts, establish best practices, and contribute to the global Data, Analytics & AI community by sharing your knowledge and designing scalable, global solutions.

About the Job

  • Own key analytics workstreams end-to-end — from business question and metric definition through certified dashboard and adoption — partnering with stakeholders across the global organization.
  • Define, certify, and govern metrics in the semantic layer and ARC, ensuring a single, consistent source of truth across ecommerce, consumer, and loyalty reporting.
  • Build and maintain production-grade dashboards and data products (Looker, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar) that drive self-service and reduce ad-hoc reporting load.
  • Write complex, performant SQL against large datasets in BigQuery; build and maintain transformation pipelines (dbt) feeding the analytics layer.
  • Act as the primary analytics point of contact for assigned business stakeholders — translating ambiguous business problems into clear analyses and communicating results to non-technical audiences with compelling data storytelling.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses (cohorting, funnel, CLV, retention, promo/discount, demand) to surface trends, quantify impact, and recommend action.
  • Support experimentation and measurement — partnering on A/B test readouts, KPI alignment, and incrementality framing.
  • Define and enforce best practices for metric documentation, dashboard standards, QA, and data validation within the team.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts, providing guidance on SQL, visualization, business framing, and career development.
  • Drive global–regional analytics governance — aligning global frameworks with local market needs so regions get the nuance they need without forking definitions.
  • Proactively identify data-quality, consistency, and readiness gaps, and partner with Data Engineering / Platform to close them.
  • Ensure risks associated with deliverables are raised and mitigated to keep workstreams on track.

About You

Required Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a closely related field, delivering insight that changed business decisions.
  • 5+ years writing complex SQL against large datasets in cloud-based environments; hands-on experience with BigQuery (or equivalent) and ideally dbt.
  • 5+ years with data visualization / BI tools (Looker / LookML, Looker Studio, Tableau, or similar); able to choose the right visualization for the data and build compelling narratives.
  • Strong grounding in metric definition and governance — building certified, reusable definitions rather than one-off reports; semantic-layer experience a strong plus.
  • Solid analytical/statistical foundation — cohorting, segmentation, funnel analysis, retention/CLV, and a working understanding of experimentation (A/B testing, incrementality).
  • Comfort with Python (or R) for analysis and automation.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; able to operate across regions and functions (Product, Marketing, Finance).
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring junior analysts and establishing team standards.

Desired Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, data science, or related).
  • Overall 5+ years of professional experience in analytics / business intelligence, ideally in retail, ecommerce, or consumer-facing industries.
  • Track record of delivering analytics products (dashboards, definitions, deep dives) that drove measurable business impact (revenue, cost savings, decision quality).
  • Prior experience as a senior individual contributor, with evidence of influencing team practices and stakeholder decisions.

The expected starting salary range for this role is €60,500 – €80,700 Gross per year.
