About the role

The Project Manager owns the structured delivery of proposition initiatives across the Client Proposition function, managing project plans, milestone tracking, governance reporting, stakeholder engagement, and the embedding of change across the business. Critically, the role leads the delivery of three of the most operationally significant programmes currently on the proposition agenda: Client Value Proposition, platform rationalisation, and ISIN rationalisation.

The postholder ensures that well-designed propositions do not just look good on paper but land effectively, are adopted by advisers and operations, and deliver the intended client outcomes to the standard the business and the FCA expect under Consumer Duty.

Key Programmes Client Value Proposition

Coordinating and supporting the delivery of a new Client Value Proposition framework, a firm-wide articulation of the value clients receives across advice, investment, and ongoing service. Delivery spans embedding the framework across advisers and operations with supporting governance and MI.

Platform Rationalisation

Coordinating delivery across technology, operations, compliance, and external platform providers to consolidate and simplify the firm's platform estate, a complex, multi-stakeholder programme with direct client impact if managed poorly.

ISIN Rationalisation

Monitoring and coordinating careful sequencing of investment decisions, client communications, and operational changes to rationalise the firm's investment instrument holdings without disruption to client portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end project delivery for key strategic initiatives, including project plans, RAID logs, governance reporting, and stakeholder updates.
  • Maintain project governance frameworks (plans, milestone tracking, reporting) so that proposition initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget.
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies across investment, operations, compliance, technology, and external partners.
  • Design and execute adviser and client communications plans that bring stakeholders along with proposition changes, reducing resistance and improving adoption.
  • Own benefits realisation tracking, confirming that rationalisation and other proposition programmes deliver the expected efficiency, cost, and client-outcome improvements.
  • Manage the wider pipeline of regulatory and proposition change in a structured way, ensuring Consumer Duty reviews, product assessments, and platform-related initiatives are properly sequenced and resourced.
  • Provide clear, timely governance reporting and escalation to the Director of Client Proposition and senior sponsors.
