About the role
The IT Support Engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for daily technical issues including laptop, Wi-Fi, and account access problems. They will also manage Microsoft 365, device provisioning via MDM, and maintain support processes through an ITSM tool.
What they look for
Requirements
Candidates must have solid experience in desktop support, strong Microsoft 365 knowledge, and proficiency with MDM and ITSM tools. Excellent English communication skills are required to support the team effectively.
Full description
We're growing past the point where engineers can also be the office's part-time IT fix-it person. We need someone who owns day-to-day IT support end to end, so the rest of the team can focus on what they're actually here to build. This isn't a stepping stone role we're figuring out as we go: we know exactly what it needs to be, and we want someone who can walk in and take it on from day one.
What you'll be working on
- Being the first point of contact when something breaks: laptop issues, Wi-Fi problems, account access, the daily stuff that keeps 77 people moving.
- Managing Microsoft 365 day to day: Outlook, Teams, and related tools.
- Managing devices through MDM, keeping them provisioned, secure, and up to date.
- Running support through an ITSM tool, so nothing falls through the cracks.
What makes this role different
You won't be buried in a huge ticket queue at a company where IT is an afterthought. You'll support a small, sharp team that notices and appreciates when things run smoothly, and you'll have room to actually fix things properly instead of just patching them.
Skills we need
- Solid experience with day-to-day desktop support.
- Strong Microsoft 365 knowledge.
- Experience managing devices through an MDM.
- Experience working within an ITSM tool/process.
- Clear, confident English communicator. You'll be talking to people all day, so this matters as much as the technical skills.
- Based in or able to relocate to Abu Dhabi.
Nice to have
- On-prem data centre management.
- Networking fundamentals.
- Basic cloud knowledge (Azure).
What we're not looking for
This isn't a networking, cloud, or infrastructure role, if that's what you're looking to do next, this won't be the right fit. We're also not looking for someone who needs a lot of hand-holding on the basics; we want someone experienced enough to just take ownership.
