Fractional Project Manager (Part-Time Consultant)

About the Opportunity

Voyage Advisory is seeking an experienced Fractional Project Manager to support a large enterprise client undergoing a significant organizational transformation initiative. This is a part-time consulting engagement for a highly accountable, self-directed project leader who can quickly assess project health, establish structure, drive execution, and help bring a challenged project back on track. This is a great opportunity for a self-employed consulting seeking remote 1099 work. The initial phase of this work is expected to be 10-15 hours per week for 3-4 months with the potential for extension.

The ideal candidate is not someone who requires extensive onboarding or day-to-day direction. Rather, they are a seasoned project professional who applies foundational project management principles, understands what needs to be done, proactively drives progress, escalates issues appropriately, and provides leadership with clear visibility into project status, risks, and decisions.

This role will work closely with senior leadership, Human Resources, talented Organizational Change Management (OCM) professionals, and external consulting partners to support employee training and change adoption initiatives impacting hundreds of employees. While this position is not responsible for developing change management strategy, the Project Manager must understand OCM principles and be able to effectively coordinate and execute OCM-related workstreams.

  • Experience supporting organizational transformation, organizational redesign, or workforce change initiatives.
  • Experience leading enterprise training initiatives involving 100+ employee populations.

  • Must be available during standard Eastern Time business hours.

Preferred Qualifications  • PMP certification.

  • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience.
  • Human Resources project experience.
  • Organizational Change Management experience or certification.

What Success Looks Like  • Quickly establishes structure and accountability within a project environment that requires stabilization.

  • Requires minimal onboarding and little day-to-day oversight.
  • Provides leadership with consistent, transparent reporting and visibility.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves risks before they become major issues.
  • Successfully coordinates complex transformation and training initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Helps bring challenged projects back on track while improving overall execution discipline.
  • Serves as a trusted partner to senior leaders by reducing the need for project oversight and follow-up.
