Full description
ALOHA Collection is a fast growing lifestyle brand that was born out of a love of travel, adventure and the ocean. This California based brand with Hawaiian roots located in Encinitas, CA focuses on travel accessories. Travel is our inspiration, the beach is our home.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Business Analyst will provide data driven recommendations to support the operations and growth of ALOHA Collection. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with internal partners and unlocking reporting and analysis capabilities for each team. Day-to-day work will consist of addressing data related queries from stakeholders by creating data products such as dashboards, reports, analysis, and automation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Query and analyze data using SQL to track marketing KPIs and assess business health, using AI tools to accelerate query writing, exploration, and pattern-finding.
- Design, develop, and continuously improve impactful and dynamic reporting and visualizations — including interactive dashboards and AI-generated artifacts — that provide clear, actionable insights into product performance, operational efficiency, and company trends.
- Support and help enforce data governance standards — including consistent metric definitions, naming conventions, access, and documentation — so teams work from reliable, well-understood data and decisions are built to scale as the business grows.
- Own regular data sweeps and audits, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and consistent, and partnering with relevant teams to resolve discrepancies at the source.
- Apply strong judgment to validate and quality-check AI-assisted analysis and outputs, ensuring accuracy and sound interpretation before insights are shared or acted on.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert, providing training and ongoing guidance to teams using data and AI tools to make decisions.
- Champion AI adoption across the organization: identify high-value use cases, build and share reusable prompts, workflows, and artifacts, and coach teams on effective, responsible use.
- Lead and manage ad-hoc reporting requests and analysis, using AI to increase speed and depth of turnaround.
- Implement and support continuous improvement in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting efficiency and effectiveness, including integrating AI and automation into recurring workflows.
EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related field
- Experience in retail or E-commerce industries a must
- Strong proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Omni, PowerBI, etc.)
- Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to accelerate analysis, reporting, and problem-solving — with the judgment to validate outputs for accuracy before relying on them
- Expert level in Google Sheets
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to all levels of the organization
- Strong analytical skills including attention to detail and independent problem solving
- A natural curiosity and intuition for data — ability to create models/frameworks to break down complex problems without fully defined requirements and questions
- Enthusiasm for helping others adopt AI and data tools; comfort coaching and enabling non-technical teammates
