Full description

Join the future of mobility. Help build the platform that's changing how cities move.

NoTraffic is building the next generation of software-defined traffic infrastructure. As our first General Counsel, you will own all legal, regulatory, and compliance matters and act as a core partner to the leadership team.

We're looking for a QA Manager to own software quality across NoTraffic. Our platform runs live traffic signals at thousands of intersections, spanning edge devices in the field, cloud services, and web applications, so a bug that reaches the field can affect public safety and the trust our customers place in us.

You'll lead the QA team and own QA strategy, people, and releases. We're moving R&D to an agent-driven development model, and you'll decide how we test software that humans and AI agents write together.

Your day to day will look like:

  • Own software quality end to end. You're accountable for the quality of everything R&D ships, from the edge fleet to the cloud platform and applications. Set the QA strategy across test coverage, environments, and quality gates, and own the QA roadmap. You'll measure success in fewer escaped bugs and faster, safer releases.
  • Lead and grow the team. Run 1:1s, performance reviews, and career growth for the QA team. Build a team that automates by default and that developers trust.
  • Hire. Shape the team's profile and hire for it, as more of the testing shifts to developers and agents and QA's role moves toward strategy, infrastructure, and verification.
  • Run release quality and timelines. Own release management from QA's side: plan QA timelines, track readiness, and drive go/no-go decisions against clear quality gates. Coordinate with Product, DevOps, and Operations so releases land on time and land safely in the field.
  • Make quality visible. Define and report quality metrics such as coverage, escaped defects, and release health, and track how they change over time. Represent QA in management forums and give leadership an honest read on where quality stands.
  • Put AI to work. Use AI and agentic tools in your own work, and lead their adoption across QA: agents that generate and maintain tests, automate triage, and expand coverage well past what the team could do by hand. Help define how quality is verified when agents write a growing share of our code.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in software QA, including 3+ managing QA teams
  • Experience managing senior individual contributors
  • A track record of managing large automated test suites
  • Enough technical depth to challenge a test strategy, review an automation framework, and judge coverage gaps
  • Experience owning release quality and QA timelines in a CI/CD environment
  • Experience testing products that combine hardware and software, or edge devices and cloud
  • Hands-on with AI and agentic tools, with a record of building them into real workflows
  • Strong communication skills, and comfort presenting data-driven quality reports to management

Nice to have:

  • Experience in safety-critical or critical-infrastructure products
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, simulation, or physical lab environments
  • Background in transportation, ITS, or public-sector products
  • Experience building a QA function at a growing startup
