Business Analyst – Data

Role and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be part of the Data team, leading the business analysis function for data initiatives. This role is pivotal in bridging business needs with data capabilities, ensuring that solutions are aligned with strategic goals and deliver measurable value. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders across business and technology domains to define requirements, assess feasibility, and guide the development of data-driven solutions.

Strategic Planning, Governance, Stakeholder Management

• Define and maintain the data business capability roadmap aligned with enterprise strategy.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects and solution teams to ensure data initiatives meet governance and compliance standards.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
• Champion data adoption across business units by articulating value propositions and use cases.

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Lead the discussion, documentation, and validation of business requirements for data solutions.
• Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for data initiatives.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and architects to ensure business needs are accurately translated into technical solutions.
• Develop user stories, process flows, and functional specifications for data related applications.

Data Use Case Development & Advisory

• Identify high-impact Data use cases and assess their business value and implementation feasibility.
• Support the design and prototyping of Data solutions, including data management.
• Advise business units on leveraging data tools such as MS SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.

Training & Change Management

• Develop training materials and conduct workshops to upskill business users on Data capabilities.
• Support change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of Data solutions.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning around Data Platform technologies.
• Monitor performance and business impact of deployed Data solutions.

• Role and Responsibilities

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis, solution design, or product management within the IT industry.
• At least 5 years’ experience working with data technologies.
• Proven track record of leading data-related business initiatives from ideation to implementation.
• Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated industries is preferred.
• Good understanding of data concepts, data lifecycle, and model deployment.
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Python (basic).
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across all levels.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to write clear and concise business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Experience in facilitating workshops, conducting interviews, and leading cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor business analysts and cross-functional teams.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align data initiatives with business goals and enterprise architecture.
