What you will be working on
You will manage both new product development and operational excellence of existing products across these key areas:
Product Strategy and Vision Work with agency Product Owners and business partners to establish clear product vision for new initiatives, define mission statements, and secure stakeholder buy-in. Develop go-to-market strategies and outreach plans to drive product adoption.
Product Development and Operations Design, test, and iterate through experiments to improve user journeys for new products whilst maintaining operational excellence for existing digital platforms. Manage product budgets, develop workplans with product teams, and procure necessary resources including software, hardware, and professional services. Ensure continuous service availability and performance optimisation for live products.
Data-Driven Product Management Work with data teams to implement data collection strategies, analytics frameworks, and reporting mechanisms. Translate complex data insights into actionable product improvements and business value.
Security and Compliance Management Oversee security testing requirements including Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Source Code Review (SCR), and other security assessments. Ensure products meet stringent security standards and regulatory compliance requirements. Coordinate with security teams to address vulnerabilities and implement security best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
Cross-functional Collaboration Translate product strategy into actionable technical plans for business and vendor teams. Coordinate efforts across marketing, legal, and finance functions. Support developers in exploring emerging tools and techniques whilst maintaining stability of production systems.
Growth and Maintenance Drive user adoption for new features through increased engagement whilst ensuring reliable service delivery for existing users. Build networks with key agencies and government product teams for collaboration opportunities. Participate in public speaking to raise product awareness. Oversee maintenance schedules, updates, and incident response for live products.
Project Management and Governance Run efficient stakeholder meetings, prioritise and track deliverables for both new developments and operational tasks, and document key decisions. Ensure products meet security and performance requirements including SSAT, VAPT, and performance testing. Maintain compliance with IM, AGO, and internal policy requirements. Manage service level agreements and operational metrics for existing products.
What we are looking for
Essential requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in product management, project management, IT business analysis, or application solution design
- Proven experience working on data projects, analytics platforms, or data-driven product initiatives
- Familiarity with security testing processes including VAPT, Source Code Review (SCR), and security compliance frameworks
- At least 3 years working directly with engineers, designers, and product managers
- Experience managing both product development and operational maintenance
- Strong analytical, conceptualisation, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills with ability to present ideas clearly and work with stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with modern product development practices including Agile, Cloud, Design Thinking, and Product-Centric Development
- Experience in service operations, incident management, and maintaining live digital services
- Experience in microservices development, enhancement, implementation and support for complex Java/SQL microservice systems using GCC services and managed on CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory compliance in data handling
- Relevant certifications such as CITPM, COMIT, PMP, or Certified Scrum Master
- Government or regulated sector experience
- Proven track record of delivering results within defined timeframes whilst maintaining service reliability
