What you'll do

As a Senior App Developer, you'll take a leading role in the design, development and continuous improvement of the Pets at Home mobile app. You'll work closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality features that are scalable, secure and intuitive for our customers.

You'll:

• Design, develop and enhance our React Native mobile applications

• Take ownership of technical solutions, ensuring they're maintainable, performant and aligned with best practice

• Champion code quality, testing, accessibility and security.

• Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.

• Mentor and support other developers through collaboration and code reviews.

• Drive continuous improvement across tooling, development practices and engineering standards.

What we're looking for

You'll be an experienced mobile developer with a passion for building exceptional customer experiences.

Key skills and experience include:

• Strong experience developing React Native applications.

• Expertise with technologies such as TypeScript, Redux, RTK Query, React Navigation and Firebase.

• Experience writing automated tests using Jest, React Testing Library and end-to-end testing tools.

• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimisation, API integrations and application lifecycle management.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards and mobile development best practices.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor others and influence technical direction.

Experience with Azure, native iOS/Android development, or cloud technologies would be advantageous.
